I grew up in Michigan and have spent the majority of my adult life between Texas and Colorado. I have been married for over 15 years and have 3 children. I have extensive experience working with couples who are struggling to interact in a healthy way all the way to those recovering from infidelity. My experience also includes working with military families, both active duty and our Veterans. This work has provided the opportunity to work with a number of individuals who are struggling with the many transitions that life brings. Additionally, I have experience working with families who have a child with a disability, juveniles engaged in the juvenile justice system, and individuals and families involved with the foster care system. While providing therapy brings me joy, I also enjoy teaching and have held both full-time and part-time positions in three different Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) training programs. I received my undergrad degree in Michigan at Rochester University and then my Masters in MFT at ACU in Texas and my PhD in MFT at Texas Tech University.
When I am not providing therapy or teaching classes I enjoy camping, fishing, golfing, being at the beach, and watching comedy. Historically, watching comedy has also involved my love of the Detroit Lions. You will frequently find me laughing over a good meal with friends. My favorite foods are those that have been smoked for hours or anything that serves as a vehicle for icing (buttercream specifically).
